2004 Scion xA - Toyota launched its youth-oriented Scion line in California in 2003 and rolls it out nationwide during 2004. The 4-dr hatchback is called the Scion xA, the 4-dr wagon is the xB. Added in June 2004 was a sporty coupe called the tC. Scions are sold through Toyota dealers. The xA is a front-wheel-drive 5-passenger subcompact. It shares an underskin design with Toyotas Echo subcompact sedan, and also its 1.5-liter 4-cyl engine with manual transmission or optional automatic. ABS is standard. An option combines curtain side airbags with front torso side airbags. Air conditioning, power windows/locks/mirrors, and 60/40 split folding rear seat are standard.
